CAREGIVER LIBRAY IS
- NOW OPEN -

The senior center has a new feature these days and it's a library for caregivers. It's open to the public and is geared to assist people who have found themselves in the role of taking care of a parent or loved on who no longer can take care of themselves. The books range from beginning Dementia and Alzheimer's disease, to the end of a terminal illness and we also have access to the internet. It contains a wealth of knowledge for people who have had no previous experience in these areas. Just like the public library, you can check books out for two weeks at a time then return them and check out some more. The library also has a video corner equipped with a monitor that you can use as often as you like. The cassettes must stay in the library. The library consists of about 90 books and it's all free. We encourage you to stop by and visit the library andy time between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm Monday thru Friday and check out a book or two. This project was made possible thru Northwestern Illinois area agency on aging.
